In a previous post I talked about a way to find blogs that do-follow in order to increase your page rank. Increasing your page rank helps your site rank well high in the SERP’s.
Today I wanted to talk about another method that will help to build back-links to your site.
- Linkbait
This method is accomplished by writing an article that is either very interesting, or is highly controversial. So the point is to write a post that causes your readers to talk and debate. This will increase the amount of people that create natural links to your article giving you SE love.
Another popular method using linkbait is to submit your blog post to Digg. If the post is interesting or very debatable, then you might find yourself nominated to the front page.
One example that I recently saw was Sage Lewis of Sagerock dissing Shoemoney for an article he wrote about SEO having no future. As you can guess, the amount of attention that was generated by Lewis was pretty big, even though it was negative. You can check out Shoemoney’s post: Akron SEO Sage Lewis of Sagerock WTF?
So the take home message again is to write articles that stimulate debate with your readers. Doing so will help you build back-links to your site. See ya next time.
